Job summary
On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit experienced sewing machinists to work for a successful clothing manufacturing business based in Nelson.
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate flat bed sewing skills.
Hours of work: 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday
7.30am – 12.30pm Friday
Rate of pay: £10.42p/h + target based bonus.
This is a temp – perm position for the right candidate.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a sewing machinist your role will involve:
- Operating sewing machine (Flat bed)
- Cutting fabric, so previous experience in cutting role would be beneficial
- Threading of machine, tension and stitches adjustments
- Measuring
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a previous experience within the sewing industry
- Worked for a clothing manufacturer in the past
- Previously worked as a sewing machinist
- Have attention to details
