Job summary
Tailor Made Sourcing are currently working with a successful furniture manufacturing company based in Nelson who are looking to recruit Skilled Sewing Machinist to join their growing manufacturing team on a temporary-permanent basis, working 39 hours per week. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate overlocking and flat bed sewing skills during a bench test prior to starting, therefore previous experience is a must.
Hours of work: 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 12:30pm Friday or 6am – 6pm Monday – Wednesday, 6pm – 10:30pm Thursday.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Previous sewing experience.
- Previous experience of sewing within an upholstery environment desirable.
- Ability to sew piping into materials.
- Experience using industrial machinery – e.g overlocking/flat bed.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have the ability to work to deadlines.
- Have the ability to work within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Have a keen eye for detail.
- Be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own.
