Job summary
On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit Toolmakers for a reputable engineering company based in Burnley, Lancashire.
This is a permanent full time position with overtime regularly available. All staff are expected to have flexibility and a willingness to work shifts.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 41.25 hours per week (you will be paid through your lunch break so 38.75 working hours as an average)
This is a permanent full time position.
SALARY – up to £37,323.00 per year – depending on experience and shifts worked
Roles & Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities will be:
- To produce and develop Tooling to a high standard
- Assembling, fitting and repairing tools
- Experience of Setting Platarg multi-stage transfer presses
- An ability to follow engineering drawings
- A requirement to use instruments such as gauges and vernier calipers to check tooling dimensions
- Root cause analysis
- Striving to improve efficiencies to limit down-time in production
The ideal candidate will:
Essential requirements and Skills
- Time served recognised apprenticeship qualification
- Turning, Milling, Grinding (both cylindrical and surface) and fitting skills
- The ability to work with minimal supervision
- You should be a self-motivated individual with good levels of communication and flexibility
